My name is Sandra Rae Hymel. I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated and was ordained a Unity minister in June, 1994. I served as minister of Unity Church of Christianity in Chesterland, Ohio, outside of Cleveland, from September 1^st, 1994 through December 31^st, 2003, then free lanced ministry in the Cleveland area until August, 2004.

I am presently free lancing as a Unity Minister. The name of my ministry is OMM, Open Mind Ministeries, Exploring unanswered questions and unquestioned answers. I continue to write and produce CDs exploring more deeply the Truth as taught by Jesus Christ and interpreted by Unity.

While living only three miles from Unity Village, Missouri, I continue serving wherever needed at Unity School and the Association of Unity Churches International. I am co-chair of the Ministerial Admissions Team and a member of the Licensing and Ordination Team of AUCI, this is my eleventh year serving in this capacity.

I have been referred to as a dynamic inspirational speaker, and presenter of several seminars/ workshops relating to spiritual growth, such as “The Heart of Healing,” maintaining spiritual wellness in a physical world; “Full ‘ESTEEM’ Ahead,” discovering and nurturing the Divine within; and “Money: Friend or Foe?” exploration of the spiritual energy of money, and always giving life the “Light” touch, both inside and out!

A Practical Guide for God's 'Choosing' People," and two Double CD sets: "Out of the Darkness, Into the Light" [Wellness Support Following Suicide of a Loved One] and "Rx for Wellness." These were all self-published by my own publishing company, Open Mind Publishing. I have written for both CONTACT magazine and UNITY magazine.
